--Skamol-- Structural Plaster

 

The Skamol Structural Plaster is used as a finishing touch on the SkamoWall Boards.

How to use

  • To ensure a perfect surface, it is important that the tools, mixing baskets and water are free of dust and foreign objects of any kind.

  • Remove dust from the surface of the SkamoWall Board.

  • Use Skamol Primer on the surfaces of SkamoWall Board where Skamol Structural Plaster is to be applied.

  • Skamol Structural Plaster is mixed in the ratio of 3.6 to 4.1L water per 20kg bag:
    • Pour 2.5L of water into a mixing bucket.
    • Stir vigorously and add the entire content of the Skamol Structural Plaster bag (20kg).
    • Add the remaining 1.1 to 1.6L of water to the mixture until the desired consistency is achieved.
    • Mix vigorously for at least 5 minutes.
    • After mixing, Skamol Structural Plaster can be used for 30 to 60 minutes.

  • Skamol Structural Plaster is applied to the SkamoWall Board with a notched trowel to achieve an even layer thickness (2 to 8mm). The plaster is then straightened.

  • No later than the day (at 20°C) after, the Skamol Structural Plaster is hardened and may be painted:
    Priming with DYRUP Silicate Primer V diluted 1:1 with water.
    Treatment 2 × DYRUP Indoor Silicate paint – Dilute any first layer with max. 10% DYRUP Silicate Primer V or water.

Store in a cool place, protected from frost.

Safety

  • Causes serious eye damage.

  • May cause an allergic skin reaction.

  • Causes skin irritation.

  • May cause respiratory irritation.

  • If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand.

  • Keep out of reach of children.

  • Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.

  • If in eyes:
    • Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes.
    • Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do.
    • Continue rinsing.
    • Immediately call a poison center/doctor.

  • Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local regulation.

 

Contains a reducing agent which reduces soluble chromium VI. The reducing agent is active when stored in a dry place for 12 months after the stated packing date. When stored in moist conditions, e.g. on construction sites, the chromate neutralisation will wear off. Packing that has been opened should be closed tightly after use, and the product should be used as soon as possible.
